How to deal with uncertainty as woman leader in the work place?

First tip is to build your self-confidence Self-confidence is the ability to believe in ourselves- that we can handle challenges. That we are going to be facing what you need to do is tell that chattering negative person in your head to shut up and sit down. This is not the time to put you down it never is but definitely at times of uncertainty and insecurity and frustration it is not the right time for you to be self-critical and over analyze. It doesn’t mean you will not have bouts of insecurity or self-doubt nobody can be constantly confident but unless you are a psychopath or a sociopath. Get rid of that idea of self-perfection and need for perfecting yourself and being perfect constantly and deal with what is in front of you. A great way to build self-confidence is being prepared prepared when you are communicating with other people, prepared with data, prepared with your analysis, prepared with solutions or possible solutions. Know who your stakeholders are. The more you come from a place of solution knowing who should listen to you the more your confidence and self belief will improve and it also helps you when you need to be more visible
Second tip is proactive communication. Keep communication simple clear and frequent. During times of uncertainty people can’t handle long drawn communication( lots of information). Bring information to them in small doses when communicating in times of uncertainty if you keep values close to you and you reiterate those values constantly it gives a sense of certainty to people who are working for you or within your teams. Communicating your own values is going to help you promote yourself and build your own reputation in the long run. so this is an opportunity to focus on your values as well
Third tip is to tolerate uncertainty. I know in times of uncertainty there is a lot of frustration, people have a tendency to micromanage, over analyze freeze from taking action communicating and distancing oneself but what comes out of uncertainty is creativity. Look at ambiguity uncertainty as an opportunity to establish your own presence your own reputation look at it as an opportunity to bring your organization forward in terms of innovation and creativity. When you don’t have all the information you don’t know everything learn to be comfortable in that don’t worry about what you can’t control and control what you can there are going to be a lot of things that you can manage and some of it is not going to be in your hands accept it and move on and do what you can.
